How to read this calculator

Where do these no-show baselines come from?
The default rates for each vertical are drawn from published 2026 industry data: dental 15% and primary care 19% per AgentZap 2026, with adjacent verticals (salon, med-spa, physiotherapy) benchmarked to comparable ranges. These are averages — your actual rate may be higher or lower. Change the input to your real number for a personalised result.
Why 17% reduction and not the 60% number I see elsewhere?
The 60% figure is often lifted from a 2012 medical-appointment study that doesn't translate cleanly to salon or spa contexts. We use 17% because it's the Boston Consulting Group 2025 baseline for flexible-rescheduling interventions across multiple verticals — the most conservative, best-documented number available. Harvard Business Review 2024 documented 23% when financial incentives are added on top. We prefer to under-promise.
What does BossBot actually do to reduce no-shows?
BossBot sends WhatsApp reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before each appointment. If the client cannot make it, they reschedule with one tap. That's it. The BCG 2025 study identified this exact pattern — reminder plus friction-free reschedule — as the intervention responsible for the 17% average reduction. We are not claiming a miracle. We're claiming a documented behaviour change.
Will your reminders annoy my clients?
Reminder tone and cadence are configurable per tenant. Most practices set one reminder at 24h and one at 2h — that's it. Clients can reply STOP at any time. WhatsApp itself is a permission-based channel: your client has opted in when they gave you their number, and Meta enforces spam limits at the platform level. If a message ratio trips Meta's quality signal, the practice's number is throttled — so we have built-in incentive to keep reminder volume sensible.
Does BossBot integrate with my practice-management software?
Direct PMS integrations depend on your vendor. See our honesty position on integrations: we build what our customers actually need, and we tell you up front when we haven't built something yet. Contact [email protected] with your PMS name and we will tell you where we stand today.
Is this calculator saving my data?
No. The math runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to us until you explicitly submit your email in the form above. If you don't submit an email, we have no record of your inputs.
