Zoko pricing (mid-2026): entry tier ~$34.99/mo. Purpose-built WhatsApp commerce platform for Shopify stores in India and Southeast Asia — native catalog sync, order lookup in inbox, add-to-cart within WhatsApp. G2: 4.7 stars. Meta India marketing session rate ~$0.0105 — cheapest globally. Strong for Shopify + India/SEA; weaker for non-Shopify merchants, service verticals, or Western markets. Comparable alternatives: Interakt ($15/mo, India-founded) for budget-conscious Indian Shopify stores; WATI ($49/mo flat) for non-Shopify WhatsApp BSP.
Zoko is built for Shopify stores in India + SEA — catalog, checkout, WhatsApp marketing in one. Where the platform wins, and where it hits its ceiling.
Zoko is one of my favorite products in the space. That's an unusual thing to admit as a competitor, but there it is.
What Zoko does well: deep Shopify integration for WhatsApp Commerce, especially in India + SEA. If your business is Shopify + India + selling physical products via WhatsApp catalog, Zoko has integration depth I don't match. Their team obviously cares about this specific customer segment.
Where the honest tradeoffs are:
- Zoko is priced for Shopify-native stores. If you're not on Shopify, you're overpaying for integration you can't use.
- Their focus on catalog + checkout means booking-based service verticals (salons, clinics) aren't their target — you can force-fit but you'll be building against the product.
- Support quality is genuinely good but response time trends slower during Indian peak hours if you're in a Western timezone.
Editor's note: I run BossBot, a WhatsApp-first competitor to Zoko at the SMB end. Zoko is a well-regarded product — 4.7-star G2 average, strong reputation among Shopify e-commerce brands in India + SEA, and their catalog + payment flow integration for WhatsApp is genuinely well built. Their entry tier at ~$34.99/month is fair for small Shopify stores; higher tiers scale with conversation volume and team seats. Where Zoko is the right answer over BossBot: Shopify stores in India/SEA that want deep catalog + WhatsApp checkout, brands where WhatsApp Commerce is the primary sales channel not just support. Where BossBot wins: service verticals (clinics/salons/agencies) needing booking + invoice flows, non-e-commerce SMBs, LATAM/MENA/Africa markets. — Ksenia
Zoko 2026 pricing (billed monthly, verify current rates at zoko.io/pricing):

| Starter | ~$69/mo | + team inbox (multiple agents), quick replies, advanced templates |

Meta's per-conversation WhatsApp fees apply separately on top of the subscription at Meta's published rates — Zoko passes these through without markup.
Zoko's subscription covers platform access, team inbox, and Shopify integration. Meta's conversation fees are charged separately:
Meta conversation fees (2026, India and SEA — Zoko's primary markets):
- India marketing conversations: ~$0.0105/session (among cheapest globally)
- Indonesia marketing: ~$0.0330/session
- Philippines marketing: ~$0.0380/session
- Singapore marketing: ~$0.0492/session
For a Shopify store sending 300 marketing conversations per month in India, Meta fees add approximately $3.15 — making India one of the most cost-effective markets for WhatsApp commerce globally.
What's included vs what costs extra:
Included in the subscription: WhatsApp Business API access, Shopify product catalog sync, bulk broadcast, basic automation, shared team inbox.
Costs extra or requires higher tiers: WhatsApp Pay / payment link integration (Growth tier), advanced analytics and conversation attribution (Growth tier), multiple WhatsApp number support (Enterprise), API access for custom integration (custom).
The Shopify sync is Zoko's core differentiation: When a customer sends a WhatsApp inquiry about a product, the agent sees the product image, price, stock status, and the customer's Shopify order history in the same inbox view. This integration depth requires Shopify — businesses on WooCommerce, Magento, or custom storefronts get none of it.

When Zoko wins over alternatives:
Shopify merchants in India and SEA where WhatsApp is the primary sales channel. The catalog + checkout + order-lookup integration depth at ~$34.99/mo entry is not matched by any other provider at that price point for Shopify-specifically.
When alternatives win:
Non-Shopify stores → WATI ($49/mo) or respond.io ($79/mo) provide the shared inbox and automation without a commerce-platform dependency. Service businesses in India → Interakt ($15/mo) at lower cost with Razorpay/Shopify integrations. Global businesses needing multi-channel (email + WhatsApp) → respond.io covers both under one platform. Budget WhatsApp API entry → 360dialog ($5/mo BSP fee) for teams willing to build their own inbox.
1. Is your storefront on Shopify?
Zoko's core value — product catalog sync, order status in the inbox, add-to-cart from WhatsApp — requires Shopify. If you're on Shopify, Zoko's integration depth justifies the subscription. If you're on WooCommerce, Magento, custom, or any other platform, you're getting a capable WhatsApp BSP inbox but paying Zoko's pricing without the feature set that differentiates it. WATI ($49/mo) or respond.io ($79/mo) provide the same inbox functionality without the Shopify dependency.
2. Is India or Southeast Asia your primary market?
Meta's per-conversation rates in India (~$0.0105/session) and SEA are among the lowest globally, making high-volume WhatsApp marketing cost-effective. Zoko is built for this market context — support, documentation, and payment gateway integrations are oriented toward India and SEA. If your customers are primarily in the UK, Europe, LATAM, or MENA, Zoko's regional depth is less relevant to your operation.
3. Is WhatsApp your primary sales channel, or is it a support channel?
Zoko's architecture treats WhatsApp as a commerce channel — catalog browsing, product discovery, checkout. If you're primarily using WhatsApp for post-purchase support (order questions, returns) rather than pre-purchase discovery and catalog browsing, Zoko's commerce features are under-used. General-purpose BSPs (WATI, respond.io) cover support workflows at comparable or lower cost.
