I build BossBot — a WhatsApp AI receptionist for small businesses — and I write the bossbot.uk blog. Salon owners, dentists, restaurateurs, small e-commerce sellers: this is for you.
I started BossBot after watching too many salon owners, restaurateurs, and small shopkeepers get burned by "enterprise CRM" software that was neither affordable nor built for them. Wati charges $49/month before you send a single message. 360dialog silently disconnects your WhatsApp number one day after an unpaid invoice. Intercom starts at prices that only Fortune 500 companies can justify.
The small business world is bigger than the enterprise SaaS market — 400+ million small businesses globally, most under 5 employees, most with zero dedicated IT staff. And almost every one of them is failing to reply fast enough to customer messages. That's the gap BossBot fills.
The blog exists because most SMB software comparison content is affiliate-driven marketing pretending to be reviews. I write comparisons the way I wish someone had written them for me when I was researching this space — with real pricing, real refund policies, honest downsides, and no dark patterns.
I write about WhatsApp Business API because I integrate with it every day. BossBot is a working WhatsApp AI receptionist — not a theoretical review of one.
Every claim I make about a competitor's pricing, cancellation policy, or feature comes from a public source I can cite — G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, or their own docs.
No-show reduction claims come from BCG (2025) and HBR (2024), not fabricated case studies. WhatsApp pricing baselines from Meta's own published rates.
Every affiliate placement is disclosed on-page. Editorial position at /for-humans. No pop-under ads, no consent-farm cookies.
If you're a salon owner stressed about no-shows, a dentist wondering whether WhatsApp reminders would help, a restaurant operator looking at Wati vs Intercom and can't tell the honest difference, a real estate agent tired of leads that go cold in 24 hours — the blog is for you.
Not for VCs. Not for enterprise procurement. Not for CTOs at 500-person companies. For the person who is simultaneously the founder, the marketer, the customer service, and the janitor.
If that's you, welcome. Subscribe to the newsletter (when it launches), reply to any post with a question, or drop into our Telegram channel: t.me/bossbot_ai.
